Cell Structures and functions

This is a general knowlegde guide on Biology

Cells are the smallest living unit of a organism.

All cells have three things in common. No matter what type of cell they are.

All cell have a cell membrane, which separate the inside of the cell from its environment. Cell includes Cytoplasm which is a gelly like fluid and DNA which is a cells genetic material.

There are two broad categories of cell;

two-categories-of-cell

The first category is the "Eukaryotic cell".

They have organals, which includes Nucleus and other special parts.

Eukaryotic cells are most advanced and complex cells. Such as those found in plants and animals.

The second category is prokaryotic cell.

They don't have nucleus or membrane include organals. They do have genetic material but its not contain within a nucleus.

Ex: Bacteria

Remember :

All cells have a cell membrane, cytoplasm and genetic materials.

Nucleous is the control center of the cell. It contains DNA. DNA tells what the cell is going to do and how it will do it.
